Design
Our Services
Our Design, Technical & Compliance Team is experienced in working alongside our clients through all stages of the Building Safety Regulator’s Golden Thread requirements.
By bringing specialist appointments forward in the project timeline, we are able to support our clients in addressing potential design challenges from day one through to the completion of Gateway 3.
By engaging our dedicated design team early, we can also identify strategic value-engineering opportunities ahead of time, presenting our clients with clear options for cost reductions from the tender stage onwards.
Our team coordinates the highly complex and detailed technical submission requirements for Gateway 2, ensuring all information is issued within the agreed timeline.
Rest assured that every full design delivery undergoes a rigorous internal review before reaching our clients and project delivery teams, with all information presented on the client’s preferred CDE platform on time.
Validation and Prefabrication
The Finer Details
The technical design phase is an opportunity to review engineering plans and our practical expertise gives us the insight to validate existing designs. Our team prides itself on identifying better ways of doing things, so we will often offer suggestions to improve efficiency and engineering.
Once our designs are finalised, the level of detail created through BIM allows us to prefabricate equipment and components off-site. This process means we can carry out much of the manual labour in advance, reducing risk and the number of people required for the installation itself. Other benefits of prefabrication include:
- Concepts that are tested and proven in advance
- Reduced possibility of on-site delays
- Lower material costs
- Less construction waste
- Reduced risk levels throughout the process
